2004 Mojo Cuvee Zinfandel
Russian River Valley

375ml bottles of late harvest styled Zinfindel. The berries and cocoa are predominant in the nose with blueberries and spice right through the long lingering finish. The residual sugar is .7% & alchohol is 16%. This is from the Benovia Vineyard.

A great big sloppy kiss!

So I'm a relative virgin.  Just developing my appreciation for wine...had my first Brogan Pinot two years ago with my Dad and Brother at a magical dinner at a restaurant in Guerneville...Great night.  Great wine.

The proprietor told us of Brogan, and my father, a big Williams Selyem guy, had to give it a shot.  We were all floored. Great Pinot!  So the Old Man gifted me a split of the Mojo Cuvee and a bottle of the '05 Sonoma Pinot this year for Christmas.

I tried the split next to a bottle of Shotfire Ridge Barossa Shiraz from Australia.  You killed!  Lots of cherry cola and blueberries on my relatively novice palate.  But what a finish!  The whole experience was explosive compared to a 92 rated Parker Shiraz. 

I'm officially in your camp now.  Thanks for the great memories!
